When we started Cornerstone in 2016, our original email footer read 'a high impact force for good' and this is a mantra and value which genuinely matters to everyone at Cornerstone.

After having to present as homeless, we set Aaron and his two teenage daughters up in a permanent 3-bedroom home. “The property is of such a nice quality – it’s not what I was expecting to be put in, it’s nice to have all this space! I was in limbo in the flat before, but now It’s time to start making plans. Take it one step at a time.”
Lauren and Ricky: “There is a future now. Before, there was no escape. We were just thinking we live in this tent; we’re never going to get out of this. But that day we got a phone call to say come and meet Oliver at 1 o clock, here – I swear it was the best day ever."
“Living with someone so abusive, it was not easy." We helped Linda with temporary accommodation and later a long term home. “I remember being like ‘Oh the floor! And the bathroom, and my kitchen – I LOVE IT!"
“Our temporary accommodation property was good, but I really love being here now. It’s in a great area close to some of my family, with lots of local shops and places to walk. Ellie loves to go and feed the ducks! I’m really happy here, somewhere to call my own… I haven’t been settled in so long, it’s nice to now have that feeling.”
